Vigyan Parv 2024

Vigyan Setu Foundation is organizing Vigyan Parv 2024 to celebrate SCIENCE, on Sunday, 28 January 2024, in Navi Mumbai.

Key activities for Students of Standard VIII and IX –

QUIZ: Through ONLINE Mode

The quiz will be in English language only.

There will be total 50 questions, covering Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, and Mathematics.

Time allotted for completing the quiz will be 60 minutes.

Quiz can be attempted in the comfort of your home, anytime between 09.00 and 17.00 hrs

E-Certificate of Participation will be issued to all the registered participants after successful submission of the quiz.

Certificate of Merit and the Prize will be sent through Post to those registered participants who score 80% or more.

Registration fee per participant is ₹ 50/-

Registration fee can be paid through bank transfer (IMPS/NEFT/RTGS) or directly using UPI.

EXHIBITION:

Participation could be as Individual or a Team of Two members.

Exhibit could be on any scientific topic from the current syllabus of the participant.

Display / demonstration can be explained in English, Hindi, or Marathi languages.

Time allotted for the exhibition is 180 minutes.

Participants must ensure that their model, display, or exhibit, if any, is safe and easy to manage by themselves, requiring no additional assistance (e.g. electric power supply, adhesive tape, and the likes) of any kind.

Anything and everything required for their exhibit must be brought and managed by the participants themselves.

For keeping the exhibit, a table space would be provided along with appropriate seating facility.

While leaving the premises, participants must ensure that they carry their exhibit back with them, and do not leave it behind or throw any trash around, and make sure to maintain cleanliness in the premises.

Judging will be based on the Creation (e.g. eco-friendly or sustainable model), Concept (innovative content or context), and Convincing (ability to answer questions based on the exhibit)

Result given by the judges will be binding on the participants.

Participation Certificate will be given to all the participants.

Certificate of Merit and a Trophy will be given to the best exhibit each from standards VIII and IX.

Schools registering more than TEN participants will receive a Certificate of Recognition and a Trophy.

Apart from the certificates and trophies, participants will have enriching experience to take back home.

INTERACTIVE SESSION:

In addition to the activities including Quiz and Exhibition, the participants can attend the interactive session of 60 minutes duration.

This session will be on a topic of general interest, particularly of participating students.

BOOK EXHIBITION:

There will be a display of books on topics of popular science.

Participants or their guardians can go through the book exhibition and buy the book/s of their choice.

Attractive discount of 20% on the printed price will be applicable on every book purchased.
