Vigyan Setu Foundation is pleased to announce the institution of Awards to acknowledge outstanding contributions by individuals and institutions in advancing science, technology, and societal development through innovative practices, outreach, and engagement.
Vigyan Setu Foundation Awards 2025 aim to recognize and celebrate individuals, institutions, and their initiatives contributing significantly in the following Four Categories:
Category A: Popularization of Science
Vigyan Setu Foundation Awards 2025 in this category would recognize the outstanding efforts in bridging the gap between science and society, thereby honouring individuals or organizations whose dedication to science communication has inspired curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific temper among diverse audiences. Through creative outreach, impactful initiatives, and an unwavering commitment to making science accessible and relatable, the recipient should have played a pivotal role in nurturing a scientifically informed community.
Category B: Women’s Health Awareness
Vigyan Setu Foundation Awards 2025 in this category would acknowledge the exemplary contributions toward raising awareness, advancing research, and advocating for the health and well-being of women, particularly in the areas of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), thyroid disorders, and related conditions. The recipient’s compassionate approach and scientific engagement should have significantly empowered women with knowledge, fostering early diagnosis, effective management, and destigmatization of these health concerns.
Category C: Promotion of Science Tourism
Vigyan Setu Foundation Awards 2025 in this category would honour exceptional initiatives that blend science communication with cultural and heritage conservation, thereby recognizing the efforts that transform scientific landmarks into living classrooms. The recipient should have creatively harnessed the power of Science Tourism to preserve, interpret, and celebrate scientific heritage, nurturing a sense of curiosity, pride, and responsibility toward the conservation of scientific legacies for future generations.
Category D: Public Health Advocacy
Vigyan Setu Foundation Awards 2025 in this category would celebrate remarkable contributions to advancing public health education, with a special emphasis on zoonotic diseases and the One Health approach, which recognizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. The recipient’s visionary work in promoting awareness, preventive strategies, and collaborative action should have strengthened the foundations of public health and highlighted the importance of a united global response to health challenges.
Eligibility Criteria:
Individual Category: Open to educators, researchers, science communicators, social workers, or professionals with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the relevant area.
Institutional Category: Open to schools, colleges, NGOs, start-ups, or community-based organizations with a demonstrated track record of at least 3 years in the related functional area.
Contributions must reflect commitment, creativity, and community engagement.
Both ongoing and completed projects are eligible.
Application Process:
Nominations by individuals or institutions must be submitted, attaching relevant documentary evidences, through online nomination form on or before the due date (15 November 2025). Link for Nomination Form is https://forms.gle/vq2joYkBKPCk1ype8
This link shall remain active from 15 October to 15 November 2025. Any nominations received after the deadline will not be considered.
Application Processing Fee:
A non-refundable processing fee of Rs 750/- (for individuals) and Rs 1500/- (for institutions) is mandatory with every nomination form submission.
Selection Criteria:
Entries will be reviewed by an independent panel of experts from respective fields. Evaluation will be based on:
- Originality and innovation
- Social impact and outreach
- Sustainability and scalability
- Relevance to the award category
Selection Process:
- Submission Review – Secretariat checks eligibility and documentation.
- Evaluation – Jury scores entries based on above criteria.
- Finalization – Highest-scoring applicants (individual & institutional, per category) are recommended for award.
General Information:
- One nomination per person/institution per year will be accepted.
- The decision of Vigyan Setu Foundation and evaluation panel is final.
- Fees are non-refundable regardless of selection.
- Awardees will be intimated individually through email, and posted onVigyan Setu Foundation website (https://vigyansetufoundation.in/) on the 14th Foundation Day of Vigyan Setu Foundation, 12 December 2025.
- E-Certificate of Recognition will be emailed, and memento will be sent through Speed Post.
- Vigyan Setu Foundation reserves the right not to award in a category if suitable applications are not received.
