Plagiarism Policy
- Plagiarism refers to the unethical practice of using someone else’s ideas, methods, results, or words without proper acknowledgment of the original creator and source. Self-plagiarism happens when an author reuses substantial portions of their own previously published material without appropriate citation.
- Vigyan Setu e-magazine maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism and any form of unethical copying. Plagiarism is considered to have occurred when significant sections of a submission are taken from existing published works without credit.
- All contributing authors are expected to thoroughly check their submissions — including articles, essays, poems, or any other literary content — for plagiarism before submitting. Ideally, the similarity index should be less than 15%.
- Submissions found to contain plagiarism during the preliminary review stage will be immediately rejected and will not be considered for publication.
- Along with their literary works, authors must also submit a duly filled and signed Declaration of Originality (download), affirming that their work is original and free from plagiarism or unethical practices. Manuscripts submitted without this declaration will not be processed for publication.
